Terms of Service – Madina Laptops

1. About us
Madina Laptops operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services (the “Services”). Madina Laptops is powered by Shopify. By visiting the Services or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

2. Products
We sell refurbished laptops. Each listing describes the specification and condition, including any cosmetic marks. Please read the description and photos before buying.

Microsoft Office 2024: Each device is supplied with Microsoft Office 2024 installed. If you reset, reinstall or wipe the device (for example by using “Reset this PC” or reinstalling Windows), the Office 2024 installation may be lost and may not be possible to recover. We are not responsible for the loss of Office 2024 following a reset, reinstall or wipe carried out by you. Please contact us before resetting the device if you want to keep Office 2024. This does not affect your statutory rights, including if Office 2024 is not working when you receive the device.

3. Prices and payment
Prices are in GBP (£). Payment is taken in full at checkout and processed securely by Shopify and its payment providers. We may cancel and refund an order if a product is listed at the wrong price or is out of stock.

4. Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity under your account. Please do not share your username or password.

5. Delivery
We deliver within the UK. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. You must provide a correct delivery address.

Safe place and neighbour deliveries: If you ask for your parcel to be left in a safe place or with a neighbour, it is then at your risk. Once the courier has delivered it to the place or person you chose, you accept responsibility for it, and we are not liable for loss, theft or damage after that point.

6. Returns
You may return your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason.

  • Tell us in writing by filling in the contact form on our website within the 14 days that you want to return the item.
  • Ensure to include your order number when you message us using the contact form.
  • The buyer pays the cost of returning the item. We recommend a tracked service, as you are responsible for the item until it reaches us.
  • Items must be returned in the condition they were received, with all accessories, packaging and included items.
  • We will refund the item price within 14 days of receiving and checking the return. Original delivery costs are refunded where required by law.
  • We may reduce the refund if the item has been damaged or its value reduced by handling beyond what is needed to inspect it.

7. Faulty or not as described
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms. If an item is faulty or not as described, contact us and we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund, and you will not be charged for returning it.

8. Warranty
Where a listing states a warranty (for example a manufacturer warranty), the details in that listing apply.

9. Privacy and your personal information
How we collect, use and share your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. If these terms and the Privacy Policy conflict on how your personal information is handled, the Privacy Policy applies. Madina Laptops is the data controller of your personal information. You can ask to exercise your data rights, or make a complaint, using the contact details below.

10. Marketing
We may send you promotional emails, and you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link. We may still send non-promotional emails about your account or orders.

11. Use of the Services
You must not use the Services for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful. The Services are not intended for children, and you must be 18 or over to place an order.

12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything that cannot legally be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the price you paid for the item.

13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this website and change the “Last updated” date. The terms in force when you place your order apply to that order.

14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
